Earth Hour - March 29, 2008

This Saturday, March 29th people and major cities around the world will be participating in Earth Hour!

Earth Hour, organized by the World Wildlife Fund, originated in Sydney, Australia on March 31, 2007.  More than 2 million Sydney businesses and households participated and turned off their lights for one hour.

Going dark for one hour helped immensely in raising awareness of just how important it is to conserve energy.  Earth Hour was so successful they will be doing it again this year by turning off all non-essential lights from 8:00pm – 9:00pm Saturday night.  This is about more than one just one night.  It’s about inspiring you be more aware and to make changes that will help achieve the ultimate goal of Earth Hour and reduce emissions by 5%.

Our energy guides are ideal tools for teaching and encouraging energy conservation and recycling to individuals or groups. These 16-page guides are filled with energy-saving tips, home energy audit and conservation checklists, energy tax advantages, energy office Website listings and much more!
