Keep your kids safe and healthy this summer season by learning about water safety, sun safety and avoiding insect bites.

In some states such as California, Florida and Arizona, drowning is the leading cause of accidental death to children under the age of five.
PARENTS AND GUARDIANS: ONLY YOU CAN PREVENT A DROWNING. WATCH YOUR CHILD CLOSELY AT ALL TIMES. MAKE SURE DOORS AND WINDOWS LEADING TO THE POOL AREA ARE CLOSED AND LOCKED.

Be sure to teach your children about the importance of water safety and never leave a child unsupervised near a pool.
Educate caretakers about potential hazards to young children in and around swimming pools. Stress the need for constant supervision.
Learn CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and keep rescue equipment by the pool.
Completely fence the pool area. Install self-closing and self-latching gate and be sure to position latches out of reach of young children. Chain and lock the entrance whenever the pool is going to be unattended.
