Jul 29, 08 01:19 PMPromotional Auto Power Adapter
Now with many airlines allowing only one checked bag, it makes sense for your wallet and the planet not to over pack when you travel.
The less you take on the plane, the less fuel it has to use. Emissions from planes contribute to global warming at 2-4 times the rate of automobiles.
A while back, AirTran joined Continental, Delta, Northwest, and US Airways in charging customers who check more than one bag (United and American charge even for just the one).
Fewer bags mean less hassle. Most hotels now supply simple necessities such as shampoo, conditioner and hair-dryers so don’t pack what you don’t need.
Packing light is easy. Pick one base color such as brown, beige or black for all your outfits making it easier to mix and match. Wear your comfortable or casual shoes on the plane and pack one pair of nice shoes that will go with everything else.
With this airline and auto power adapter you can power laptops, DVD players, and other devices with USB ports or AC/DC power jacks while traveling on an airplane or in a car. To access the airline adapter simply remove the car adapter at the base.

Mind your BPA's
For years and years we’ve had and used products that are made from or contain Bisphenol A and it is still currently being used in various ways. It is a main monomer, a small molecule that can become chemically bonded to other monomers forming a polymer, in the production of the clear polycarbonate plastic commonly used to make baby and water bottles.
Bisphenol A has been known to leach from the plastic lining of canned foods and some polycarbonate plastics cleaned with harsh detergents or those containing acidic or high-temperature liquids.
There are seven classes of plastics used in packaging but types 1 (PET), 2 (HDPE), 4 (LDPE), 5 (polypropylene) and 6 (polystyrene) do not use Bisphenol A in packaging and will not leach Bisphenol A into foods or beverages.
Perfect for walking or hiking this 24 oz. polycarbonate bottle is BPA free, trimmed with stainless steel on top and bottom with a comfort grip, matching detachable fabric strap and screw-on stainless steel lid!

Promotional Tire Gauges
Proper tire pressure is crucial in the summer months! Be sure to check your owner's manual for recommended tire pressure and be certain to check the condition of your tires. Worn, bald or badly aligned or balanced tires can mean accidents. Accidents and breakdowns are no fun and put your safety at risk.
Just think about the tire commercial that reminds you that you have a lot riding on your tires! They’re right! It’s you and your family and friends.
Tire pressure should be checked and air added when the tires are cold. Tire pressure increases one pound for every 10-degree increase in temperature. If you inflate your tires to the maximum pressure indicated on the tire sidewall, you risk tire failure from over-inflation, especially if the tire is worn or damaged. If you are not sure or are uncomfortable checking your tires yourself bring it to a service station and ask for help.
With gas prices what they are today if you want to save money at the pump just stay on top of the air pressure in your tires. Proper air pressure will result in getting better gas mileage.
If saving money isn't a big enough incentive, how about the added bonus of doing your part and helping preserve the environment? Less fuel consumption results in less carbon dioxide being emitted into the atmosphere. Every little bit helps.

Car and auto fires are among the more common causes of fire-related property damage. In the United States there is roughly one motor-vehicle fire every 96 seconds!
So, you’re car is on fire – what do you do?
If the vehicle is moving, signal and move over to the shoulder or side of the road as far off the road as you can safely manage being aware of soft shoulders or drastic drop offs.
Turn the engine off.
Get yourself and all other occupants out of and as far away from the vehicle as possible.
Warn oncoming traffic by putting out emergency cones or flares to allow them enough time to safely avoid you.
Notify the fire department.
Do not attempt to put out the fire yourself.
With the risk of explosion and toxic fumes emerging from vehicles fires it would be an unwise decision. Breathing toxic fumes is the most common form of fire-related death.
Opening the hood of a car that is on fire is particularly dangerous. It acts a rapid surge of air into the engine compartment, which may cause a fast increase in fire intensity.
If you have a fire extinguisher and attempt to use it on an engine fire, the extinguisher should be fully discharged through the gap created by simply releasing (but not lifting) the hood. Then the car should be left until the professional fire crew has pronounced it safe. As with all fires, residual hot spots may cause the fire to flare up again when fresh oxygen is supplied.

Gas Saving Tips
Don’t Drive During Rush Hours. Check with your boss or company to find out if it’s possible to go into work a little earlier or later or leave earlier or stay later to avoid the peak travel times. Plan your route to avoid traffic jams. When you do drive it’s best to avoid excessive idling, braking and acceleration while in traffic, traffic is usually responsible for consuming most of your gas. You can also avoid jams by paying attention to traffic patterns in and around your area and try to use them to your advantage.
Optimize your route. The less distance you drive, the less gas you use. If you have several stops to make, see how you can route your trip to have the minimum number of miles driven.
Items such as cell phone chargers that can be charged using the cigarette outlet are convenient and can come in very handy in emergency situations.
