Gas Saving Tips

Don’t Drive During Rush Hours.  Check with your boss or company to find out if it’s possible to go into work a little earlier or later or leave earlier or stay later to avoid the peak travel times.  Plan your route to avoid traffic jams. When you do drive it’s best to avoid excessive idling, braking and acceleration while in traffic, traffic is usually responsible for consuming most of your gas.  You can also avoid jams by paying attention to traffic patterns in and around your area and try to use them to your advantage.

Optimize your route. The less distance you drive, the less gas you use.  If you have several stops to make, see how you can route your trip to have the minimum number of miles driven.

Items such as cell phone chargers that can be charged using the cigarette outlet are convenient and can come in very handy in emergency situations.
